Welcome to the Tyler Office page of Special Health Resources for Texas, Inc. As time passes this page will be fully developed with the latest information for the Tyler areas with regard to HIV/AIDS care. Currently, the agency has been serving people with HIV/AIDS for many years in the Tyler area. Due to a number of changes, the Jameson Clinic (Total Health Care) will be referring persons who are HIV positive to Special Health Resources for all of their HIV care and case management. Those services, including medical clinics provided through an agreement with Drs. Yates and Hickerson (Tyler Infectious Disease Physicians), are now being provided at our office at 1300 Clinic Dr. in Tyler (next door to our existing office). This process of moving clients to care with Special Health Resources is progressing nicely but there will still be issues that arise from time to time. If you have questions or concerns please feel free to contact our Tyler offices and discuss your needs with them.
As we have done for a number of years, our existing office will continue to provide care as part of the Ryan White Part B program. These services include (but might not be limited to) medical case management, transportation, housing assistance, utilities assistance, medication assistance, dental care, support groups, and many other services. Please note, the Ryan White program requires that a client qualify for the services but the staff at the Tyler office are committed to helping every client through the process. Our ongoing mission is to provide quality health and mental health care to the clients of the Tyler area, which is not limited to the city of Tyler or Smith County but extends across the 23 counties of Northeast Texas.
