Special Health Resources for Texas

Fundraisers

Special Health Resources for Texas, Inc. has many events that help to raise money that supports the mission of the agency, which is to make health care accessible for East Texans.  The Passport Party is the annual major fund raising event and the Health Walk is a community education and awareness event. In addition to these two events, the agency works hard to continuously raise funds to pay for things that our grants will not allow us to pay for otherwise. Medications, examinations, materials across the agency, computers, and much more, are items that are needed to make the agency work efficiently. But, you do not have to wait for an event, you can donate on a regular basis simply by going to the donations section of this website and making your contribution. For upcoming and ongoing fund raising activities, please consult this page regularly. The information below is for our next Fundraiser. Work is already in full swing for this year's fundraiser. The past year was a fine success based on the hard work of the fundraising committee of the Board of Directors. I applaud them all for their concern for the agency and tireless efforts.  The funds raised from last year not only helped across the agency, specifically they are helping to add more practitioner hours to the 4th Street Community Clinic and an educational module for the new mobile testing and education unit. And new for this year, a pre-party fundraiser to really get the interest and involvement up.  The Rainbow Members Club (RMC) has graciously agreed to host this party in support of Special Health Resources.
